Privacy Policy

Last Updated: June 5, 2026

Welcome to Newtools ("we," "us," or "our"). At Newtools, we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you visit our website atnewtools.ioor use our services, including our directory atnewtools.io/discover. By accessing our website, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

  • Personal Information: Information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, or other contact details.
  • Usage Data: Information about your interactions with our site like IP address, browser type, pages visited, and session duration.
  • Cookies and Tracking: We use cookies and similar technologies for personalization and analytics. You can adjust cookie settings in your browser.
  • Third-Party Data: Information from external services (e.g., analytics, social media) when you interact with integrated features.

How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve our services.
  • To personalize your experience and display relevant content.
  • To respond to inquiries sent to support@newtools.io.
  • To analyze and improve site performance and user engagement.
  • To comply with legal requirements and safeguard rights.

Sharing Your Information

We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we never share it with third parties for their own advertising or marketing. Your data is used to operate Newtools and to make our products better for you — nothing else. We only disclose information in these limited cases:

  • Essential service providers: Trusted processors that run the product on our behalf (e.g. hosting, database, email delivery, payment processing, and the AI model providers that power the assistant). They may only use the data to provide their service to us, under contract.
  • Legal authorities: When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service.
  • Business transfers: If Newtools is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may transfer as part of that deal — and remains protected by this policy.

Sub-processors

To operate Newtools we rely on the trusted service providers below. Each only processes the minimum data needed to deliver its service to us, under contract. Content you submit to the AI assistant (messages, uploaded documents, and connected-tool data) may be processed by the model and infrastructure providers listed here.

  • Vercel — application hosting and edge delivery.
  • Neon — primary database (your account, chats, memory, documents).
  • Upstash — caching (temporary, no source-of-truth data).
  • OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Groq, DeepSeek, Moonshot — AI model and embedding providers that power the assistant.
  • Tavily and Cohere — web search and result ranking for research.
  • E2B — sandboxed code execution (Pro feature).
  • Trigger.dev — scheduled background jobs.
  • Sanity — content management for the tool directory.
  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
  • Resend — transactional and product email.
  • Google & GitHub — optional sign-in (OAuth).

When you connect an integration (GitHub, Notion, Linear, Slack, Stripe), your access token is encrypted at rest and used only to read the data you request inside the assistant. You can disconnect any integration at any time from Settings → Integrations.

AI Processing & Your Content

Newtools uses your messages, uploaded documents, connected-tool data, and saved memory to generate responses and to personalize the assistant for you. We do not sell this content or use it to train third-party foundation models. Our AI providers process this content only to return a response to us and do not use Newtools API content to train their models, per their API terms.

You can view and delete your saved memory in Settings → Memory, and delete chats, documents, or your entire account at any time.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Cookies enhance your browsing experience. You may disable them in your browser settings, though this could affect site functionality.

Your Rights and Choices

You may have the right to:

  • Access or request a copy of your data.
  • Request corrections to incorrect or incomplete data.
  • Request deletion of your personal information.
  • Opt out of marketing and certain data processing.

To exercise these rights, contact us atsupport@newtools.io.

Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is entirely secure.

Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to external sites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Review their privacy policies before sharing personal information.

Copyrighted Images

© Images may be copyright protected. If you believe your image has been used without permission, contactsupport@newtools.io.

International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed outside your country. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable laws.

Children’s Privacy

Our site is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe we have, contact us.

AI Assistant & Chat Data

When you use our AI assistant, we process the messages you send and the responses generated. To produce answers, your prompts are sent to third-party AI model providers (which may include Groq, Google, Anthropic, OpenAI, DeepSeek, and others) and, for web-enabled features, to search/scraping providers (e.g. Tavily, Microlink). Each provider processes data under its own terms and privacy policy.

If you are signed in, we store your conversations (messages, titles, and any generated cards/documents) so your chat history syncs across your devices. You can delete individual conversations at any time from the app. We also keep a per-day message counter to enforce usage limits. Please don't submit other people's personal data or secrets you don't want processed by these providers.

How we use this data: we use your prompts and activity to deliver answers, remember your history, prevent abuse, and improve the quality and relevance of Newtools — for example, to fix problems, tune recommendations, and build better features. We do not sell your conversations and we do not use them to train our own foundation models. The third-party AI providers process your prompts only to generate a response and under their own terms; we choose providers that do not train on API data where that option is available.

Social Sign-In (Google, GitHub, X)

You can create an account or sign in using a third-party provider such as Google, GitHub, or X (Twitter). When you do, we receive basic profile information from that provider — typically your name, email address (where available), and profile picture — solely to create and secure your account.

  • We use this information only to authenticate you, set up your profile, and contact you about your account.
  • We do not post, tweet, or take any action on your social account, and we do not access your contacts, followers, direct messages, or timeline.
  • We never sell or share this information, and you can disconnect a provider at any time from your account settings or directly with the provider.

Payments & Subscriptions

Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store your full card details — Stripe handles payment information directly under its own privacy policy. We retain limited billing records (such as your Stripe customer ID, subscription status, plan, and renewal date) to provide and manage your subscription, send receipts and service emails, and meet legal and accounting obligations.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Revisions will be posted with a new “Last Updated” date.
