Orchestration platform for running multiple AI coding agents in parallel with isolated Git worktrees and unified review.

Overview

Superset is an orchestration platform designed to bring multiple AI coding agents—Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, and others—into a single unified workspace. Rather than running agents sequentially or in isolation, Superset lets you launch dozens of agents in parallel, each working on separate Git worktrees and branches simultaneously. You monitor progress, review changes, and merge work from one central interface.

The platform emphasizes local-first operation: your code, repos, and agent sessions stay on your machine by default. Superset doesn't proxy API calls or lock you into a single provider—you bring your own agent subscriptions and API keys. It's available as a desktop app (macOS with experimental Linux support), CLI, TypeScript SDK, and MCP server, making it flexible for different workflows.

Key features

  • Parallel agent orchestration with isolated Git worktrees
  • Support for any CLI-based coding agent
  • Scheduled automations for recurring tasks
  • Remote workspace access via SSH
  • Diff review and merge management
  • IDE integration (VS Code, Cursor, Xcode, JetBrains)
  • CLI and TypeScript SDK
  • MCP server support
  • Mobile app for monitoring
Pros
  • Run 100+ agents in parallel without conflicts
  • Agent-agnostic—switch agents per task without workflow disruption
  • Local-first architecture keeps code on your machine
  • No API proxying—use your own credentials and control costs
  • Source-available code on GitHub for inspection and self-hosting
  • Works with existing IDEs and tools
  • Scheduled automations reduce manual chores
Cons
  • Desktop app limited to macOS (Linux experimental, Windows not available)
  • Requires separate subscriptions to AI coding agents
  • Source-available but not OSI-approved open source (Elastic License 2.0)
  • Learning curve for teams new to parallel agent workflows
Use this if
You need to orchestrate multiple AI coding agents in parallel, automate recurring coding tasks, or want agent-agnostic tooling that doesn't lock you into one provider.
Skip this if
You only use a single coding agent, need Windows desktop support, or prefer fully open-source (OSI-approved) software without commercial licensing.
