It works in two ways: the Watermark Remover strips invisible Unicode characters (zero-width spaces, non-breaking spaces, HTML attributes) and rewrites stock AI phrasing into natural prose, while the AI Phrase Detector highlights machine-sounding sentences and explains why they were flagged, leaving the editing to you.

The tool addresses both technical and stylistic layers of AI detection. The technical layer includes invisible formatting characters embedded during copy operations that can break SEO tools, find-and-replace functions, and citation managers. The stylistic layer covers recognizable patterns like stock connectives ("furthermore," "it's important to note"), em dash overuse, flat sentence rhythm, and compulsive hedging. PassMyEssay preserves all factual content—numbers, dates, quotes, and citations remain unchanged while the prose is rewritten to sound human-authored.
